I can’t stop thinking about the senselessness of Faneal Tesfit’s death. It’s just so unsettling to hear about someone driving late at night to make ends meet and then being tragically gunned down. From what I’ve read, Faneal was incredibly passionate about Dallas sports and seemed like the kind of person who brought positive energy wherever he went. It hits close to home knowing that his life was cut short by such violence. I wish there were more conversations about what pushes young people toward this path and how communities can intervene before things escalate. Sending strength to his family and friends who are undoubtedly grappling with this loss.
