I’ve been following TJ’s case and one thing that’s really stuck with me is the strong outpouring of love and support from his community. It’s clear from reading all the posts and tributes how deeply he touched the lives of those around him. His accomplishments in the Navy and his involvement in sports and choir show what a well-rounded individual he was. A bright light taken too soon.
It’s so important for the community to rally around his family during this unimaginable time. Maybe a scholarship in his name for students at Carver Magnet would be a positive way to honor TJ’s legacy? Just an idea, but we need to ensure his memory lives on by continuing to spread kindness and support like he did. My heart goes out to everyone who knew him.
I’m absolutely shaken by the news of Tony Harrison’s case. The part that really sticks with me is the bravery he must have shown during such a frightening situation. It’s devastating to think that his life, and his light, were extinguished in such a violent manner.
Knowing he was a U.S. Navy veteran and had such a vibrant life—active in choir and sports, and being baptized at the Community of Faith—makes this loss feel even heavier. I can't even begin to imagine what his family and friends are going through right now.
I hope they can someday find some peace and that justice is served swiftly in court. If anyone else knows if there are any community events or memorials planned in his memory, I would love to attend and show my support. Tony, or TJ as many knew him, truly seemed like someone who touched the lives of those around him in a positive way.
