I've been following the extremely sad case of Nicole Isabell Gairey, the woman tragically gunned down on Tucker Drive. I can't stop thinking about the fact that they released that 27-year-old man without charges. I know investigations can be complex, but it must be tearing Nicole’s family apart not having any answers or justice yet. I wish I could help ease their pain in some way.
For anyone familiar with how law enforcement normally proceeds in such intense situations, is it typical for someone present at a shooting scene to be released so soon? I understand that the police must have their reasons, but it just seems unusual from an outsider's perspective. Hoping those close to Nicole are finding some comfort in the memories and the love shared on her memorial page. Keeping her family and friends in my thoughts.
