Did anyone else get a chance to read about how Davion McMullen was apprehended? I came across an article mentioning that he was on the radar of the South Gessner Patrol Division Crime Suppression Team, and they managed to arrest him on September 11. It’s really commendable how quickly the authorities acted on this. Just thinking about Jessie Quiroz being caught in this crossfire—a pure accident—it's just so senseless. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain his family is going through. It’s infuriating how one moment of violence can result in such a loss for a whole community. Also, does anyone have any insight on whether there have been community gatherings or discussions about gun violence in the area since this incident? Sending my deepest condolences to Jessie’s family and friends during what must be an unimaginably difficult time.

Did anyone else come across the tribute page for Jessie Quiroz? I just happened to find it when trying to learn more about him and the shooting on West Bellfort Avenue. It's truly touching to see how many people cherished him. From the little anecdotes shared by his family and friends, it’s evident that he was a source of light and laughter to so many. I can't even begin to fathom the shock and grief they're experiencing right now due to such a senseless act of violence. It’s deeply infuriating to think that something as trivial as a verbal spat could lead to the loss of a life completely unrelated to it. If anyone is familiar with organizing or supporting community vigils in the area, please share. I think it’s vital for us to come together and honor Jessie’s memory. ?
