Hey everyone, I've been digging through old news archives about the Curtis "Corky" Chandler case, and something odd struck me about Owen Clark's story. I understand he claimed he was attacked by four youths and set on fire, but isn't it strange that no evidence or witnesses ever emerged to support his version of events? Considering the severe burns he had, I would think someone witnessing an attack like that would have come forward. It's curious that such a violent incident didn't leave more traces or draw more attention at the time. I wonder if there are any local stories or rumors about that night which might not have been officially documented? Sometimes these oral histories can hold pieces of the puzzle that formal investigations miss. If anyone from the Lockport area around that time has thoughts, I'd be interested to hear them. Every little detail might help piece together what happened to Curtis.

It's so puzzling how Curtis Chandler's case has so many odd details but still no clear answers. Something that's been bugging me a lot is the story about Owen Clark getting set on fire. It's such a bizarre and extreme thing to happen, and it just makes the whole situation murkier. I wonder if there are more witnesses that night who might have seen or heard something strange around the time Clark claims he was attacked. Plus, the supposed argument between Curtis and Clark makes me suspicious. If Clark was a suspect, why wasn't there more pressure on him after he recovered from such a dramatic incident? It's frustrating to think that more could have been done back then that might have helped find Curtis. Still holding out hope that someone out there knows something that could finally piece this puzzle together. Thoughts?
