Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Robert Sharpe, and something that keeps sticking with me is how someone like him, a Marine vet and someone so rooted in his community, could become another statistic in Chicago’s appalling gun violence epidemic. It’s really unsettling to think about the security in neighborhoods like West Garfield Park, where even familiar, respected faces aren’t safe. I'm really feeling for his family and neighbors who knew him and are dealing with the lack of answers. Imagine being in their shoes, just wanting some closure or maybe an explanation, but knowing there's no suspect, no arrest, just... nothing at all. I wonder if there are security cameras in the area that might have captured something useful—maybe nearby businesses or traffic cams? It's frustrating not knowing how much effort has been put into that angle. If anyone here is from Chicago or familiar with such cases being solved, would love to hear your thoughts or any insights you might have.
