Robert Sharpe, aged 60, was tragically killed on July 15, 2017, in the West Garfield Park neighborhood of Chicago. A Marine Corps veteran, Sharpe was on his way to a dialysis treatment when he was approached by an assailant during what appeared to be an attempted robbery. He was shot in the early morning hours, around 5 a.m., near the 400 block of North Kedzie Avenue.
