Has anyone looked into the possibility that Timothy might have been involved in something illegal outside of the jewelry store? I'm not directly accusing him of anything, but given the large amount of money involved and the fact that his car was found at a Holiday Inn, it makes me wonder if someone might have been trying to send a message. Holiday Inns were known to be places where a lot of business, not all of it legal, took place back in the 80s. Maybe Timothy was caught up in something bigger than just the store robbery? It's just a theory, but I'm curious if investigators ever explored any potential connections he might have had to organized crime or something similar. Sometimes people get in over their heads without even realizing it. Anyone else have thoughts on this angle?
