Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Denise and Eric Orpinela in El Cajon, and I just can't wrap my head around the impact this must have on their kids. As some of you might know, it was their 14-year-old daughter who discovered them. I can't even begin to imagine the trauma she and her siblings must be facing right now. From what I've read, there doesn't seem to be any history of domestic violence made public, but we can't ignore the kind of mental and emotional abuse that can happen behind closed doors. Denise's openness to her sister about wanting help says a lot. It's so important for folks to seek support when they see those red flags in a relationship—so many people don't get any warning at all. It makes me think about the importance of community and friends being aware and supportive in these situations, even when it's uncomfortable. With the family's home up for sale recently, it's like a stark reminder that so much was going on beneath the surface. Does anyone know if there's been any support set up for the children?
