Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about the role community support plays after such a senseless tragedy. Michael "Scrappy" Pinon's shooting on Monterey Street has really shaken the East Bakersfield folks. It's devastating to know his family and friends are left with so many unanswered questions right now.
From what I’ve heard, Scrappy was someone who touched a lot of lives. It’s nice to see that a memorial website has been set up for people to share memories and celebrate his life, but I can’t stop thinking about how we can all help a bit more.
There have been a few candlelight vigils in the area, and I'm wondering if there are other ways we can come together as a community to push for more clues or information. Sharing posts on social media or even attending city council meetings to address safety issues could be a start.
Does anyone have thoughts or ideas on what more we could do as a community to support his family and help get more eyes on this case? It just seems so important for us all to come together right now and make sure justice is served.
Thanks for reading and for any suggestions.
Hi everyone,
I’ve been following the case of Michael "Scrappy" Pinon, and something that’s been on my mind is how the community can rally together in times like this. It’s clear that Michael was loved by many; the memorial website is filled with touching stories and memories from those who knew him well. It’s a sad reminder that violence affects not just one person, but an entire community.
I’m really hoping that someone out there will come forward with information. It must be incredibly difficult for his family and friends to continue without answers. It’s times like these that make it so important to look out for each other and support one another in seeking justice.
For anyone nearby, sharing information about the incident or the hotline numbers could really make a difference. Let's work together to help the authorities bring some closure to Michael’s loved ones.
Stay safe, everyone.
