I find it so strange that they never found any additional evidence despite the clear signs of a struggle near the front door. Blood smears could mean Annie was seriously injured, but without more evidence, it's incredibly perplexing how the trail went cold so quickly. Considering it was a broad daylight abduction in a seemingly safe neighborhood, it's odd there weren't more eyewitnesses, aside from the white van sighting. The fact that a ransom note specifically demanded payments to those involved with School Pictures also feels oddly personal, like the motive was deeply rooted in a grudge against her husband’s business dealings. I always wonder if there were other connections or clues that might have been overlooked, especially in the surrounding community or networks of those indicted. Anyone else think there might have been someone else involved who wasn’t caught?
