I can't stop thinking about Muoi Dai Ung and how this tragedy impacted her family. It's devastating to hear that someone who had built a life here for over a decade and found joy and community in dance had her life cut short in such a senseless act. Her story hits close to home for many immigrant families who work so hard to find happiness and belonging in a new country, only to face unimaginable violence.
The bravery of those staff members at the Lai Lai Ballroom is also commendable. Their quick actions potentially saved many more lives, showing courage in the face of such danger. It's hard to fathom the mixed emotions they're experiencing, having prevented further bloodshed but being so closely linked to this horrific event. I'm sending thoughts of strength and healing to everyone affected by this tragedy.
