Has anyone else been following the Nahun Viera Cortes Jr. case? I can’t shake the image of his sister, Ashley, having to go on and organize a GoFundMe for his funeral expenses. It’s hard to imagine the kind of pain she must be going through. I noticed that "In Loving Memory of Nahun Jr" on the platform as well, and the outpouring of love from the community there is really touching. It's comforting to see people come together in support of his family during this time. I really hope more people step forward with information—someone out there knows something. Let's keep spreading the awareness and, hopefully, justice will be served for Nahun and his loved ones.
Hey everyone,
I've been following the case of Nahun Viera Cortes Jr., and something that's been on my mind is the strength and resilience of his sister, Ashley. It must be incredibly hard to navigate such a difficult time while also stepping up to organize the GoFundMe campaign for his funeral expenses. I can't begin to imagine the weight she's carrying right now.
It truly highlights the power of community and family during times like these. Her courage and dedication to ensuring that her brother's memory is honored is admirable. I feel like it's important to recognize her efforts and maybe even reach out if anyone has the means to support her cause. The link to the GoFundMe is all over social media and on the campaign page, for those who want to contribute or share.
If anyone has any updates or insights into the investigation, it would be beneficial for the family to hear something positive moving forward. Let's keep this conversation going and try to support the Viera Cortes family in any way we can.
Stay safe and look out for each other.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the neighborhood where Nahun Viera Cortes Jr. lived. It’s so unsettling to imagine something like this happening on a regular night in an area where people are just going about their lives. North Normandie Avenue isn’t some dark alley; it’s in a busy area between Sixth Street and Wilshire Boulevard, a place most of us wouldn’t think twice about walking through. It just goes to show that we really don't know when or where violence might strike.
I can’t help but feel for his family and friends during this time. The loss of someone so young, with so much life ahead of them, is beyond comprehension. As investigations continue, I hope community members come forward with information to help bring some level of justice to his family. In the meantime, if you can, consider supporting the GoFundMe organized by his sister Ashley—it’s a small way to show our solidarity and support. Let’s keep the conversation going about how to make our communities safer and support one another in these difficult times.
