I've been following the discussions about Betty Monyea Cummings, and I can't stop thinking about the role of guns in domestic violence situations. It seems like there's often a history of escalating threats or previous incidents in these tragic cases. We need to have a serious conversation about how to identify and intervene before these situations turn deadly. I also wonder what more could be done to protect women like Betty from ex-partners who turn violent. It's terrifying to think about returning home to find someone lying in wait. Maybe there's an opportunity for the community and law enforcement to work together to provide better resources and support for those facing similar threats. My thoughts are with Betty's children and entire family as they navigate this unimaginable loss. They deserve justice, but they also need a safe space to grieve and heal.❤️

Hi everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the young child who had to make the call to the authorities. I can't even imagine the emotional turmoil they must have gone through that night, and continue to endure. Having to report something so traumatic at such a young age is beyond distressing. Just the thought of a child witnessing this kind of violence is deeply troubling. Does anyone know if there's a fund or support system set up for Betty's children? I really hope they are receiving the necessary support and counseling to help them process this tragedy. My heart goes out to them and to all of Betty's friends and family during this incredibly difficult time. ?

Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the vigil that was held in Betty Monyea Cummings' honor. Attending or even just hearing about such events really brings a community together in support of a grieving family. It’s powerful how people come together to remember someone who was taken too soon. I hope the vigil provided a moment of peace and shared strength for Betty’s children and family. It's so important for them to see how much their mom meant to those around her, and to feel supported by their community. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Betty. Let’s keep the conversation going and continue to offer our support in any way we can.
