I can't stop thinking about how 6-year-old William must have been feeling, being a Little Leaguer and part of such a close-knit community. My heart goes out to his teammates and coach. It's not just the family that's left with a gap; his friends, those who ran with him on the baseball diamond, must be grappling with a mix of confusion and loss. It's hard to fathom what these kids are going through and how they're trying to deal with something so senseless. I really hope the community provides them with the emotional support and resources they might need to work through their grief. I'm also curious if the team's organizing any kind of memorial for William—something for those kids to hold onto amid all this. Sending all my compassion to everyone trying to pick up the pieces right now.
