Did anyone else hear about the leather jacket that saved someone in the Ney Avenue shooting? It's surreal how something so simple could have been the difference between life and death. I can't stop thinking about those moments, and how fragile life can be. Antwon Benson and the others standing there that night didn't deserve what happened to them. Also, can we take a moment to appreciate how the community has rallied behind Benson's family? The GoFundMe set up by his union is really showing how much people cared about him. Makes you think about how much he must've touched people's lives at the Berkeley Recycling Center and elsewhere. If anyone has more details about the investigation, please share. It’s important we find out who did this and bring them to justice. Keeping Antwon's family in my thoughts.

I can't stop thinking about the leather jacket that helped save one of the individuals involved in the Ney Avenue shooting. It's a small comfort in such a devastating situation, but it really makes you reflect on how luck can play a role in survival. Antwon Benson's passing is a stark reminder of the senseless violence impacting communities. My heart goes out to his family, his kids especially—growing up without a father is beyond tough. The community rallying behind them through the GoFundMe campaign is a testament to the impact Antwon had on those around him. It’s heartening to see people come together in solidarity, but we shouldn't have to unite under such tragic circumstances. Here's hoping the ongoing investigation brings some justice and answers soon. If anyone knows anything, please come forward—it could make a world of difference.
