I just read about the community gathering at Martin Luther King Memorial Park for Winfred "Bookie" Avant Jr. It really touched me to see how much he meant to those around him. It's moments like these that remind us how profoundly a single person can impact the lives of so many. Bookie's friends and family coming together to celebrate his life, despite the pain of his loss, is incredibly powerful. It shows the resilience and strength of a community united in the face of such senseless violence. As heartbreaking as this situation is, I hope the ongoing investigation sheds light on the reasons behind such a tragic event. It's crucial that justice is served for the victims and their families. If there’s any silver lining, it’s the support the community is showing each other. My thoughts are with Bookie’s and Isaiah's families and those who were injured. We're all hoping for clarity and justice in the days ahead.
