Hi everyone. I've been following the tragic case of Ja'Shon Yates, and I can't help but feel for his family and friends, especially his guardians Chriss and Jessica Hess. It must be incredibly difficult to still be seeking justice after all this time.
One thing that’s been gnawing at me is the atmosphere during those parties at Monarch Apartments that night. With over 100 people there, many likely just wanting to celebrate the New Year, it's unsettling to think about the chaos that must've ensued after the gunfire. I read somewhere that people were jumping from the second-floor balconies to escape. I can’t even begin to imagine the panic and fear during those moments.
It makes me wonder how many people there saw or heard something but haven’t mustered the courage to speak up. I hope that anyone who was present and knows what happened will consider coming forward. Even the smallest detail can make a difference in piecing together that night for Ja'Shon's family who deserve closure.
If you were there or know someone who was, passing on any information to the JCPD could really help. Ja'Shon deserved so much more, and it’s important we rally around his loved ones during this difficult time. Sending thoughts and strength to his family and friends.
Has anyone heard more about the legal proceedings surrounding Dae'Vo Jennings-Worrell since his sentencing? I can't imagine how frustrating it is for Ja'Shon Yates' family to still not have the answers they desperately need. It seems like the case somewhat stalled, even though there were so many people at those parties. It’s really troubling that they've identified persons of interest but still haven't made any direct links to the incident. I just hope that anyone with even a small piece of information will step up. Sending all my thoughts to Ja'Shon's family and friends during this ongoing ordeal. It's vital that justice is served for him.
