I can't stop thinking about the role surveillance footage played in solving Cordell's case. It's disturbing yet somewhat relieving to know that these cameras are out there capturing what happens on the streets. The footage reportedly showed the whole encounter and helped identify Beasley and Fairbanks, but I can't help but think about how many other crimes aren't caught on camera. Cordell’s friends and family must be going through so many emotions, knowing that his final moments were captured on a screen. While I’m glad it led to arrests, I wish it didn't have to be this way. It’s a different world we live in now, and it's both unsettling and reassuring to realize how technology intertwines with justice. Hoping justice goes beyond just arrests and that somehow, some peace can be found for Cordell’s loved ones.
Wow, this case is such a tough one to wrap my head around. I've been thinking a lot about Cordell Young's family and friends who have to deal with this unimaginable loss. I can't help but wonder what their days are like, carrying on without him. Seeing the senselessness of it all in the surveillance footage must be haunting for them. Also, the fact that Cordell was described as someone dedicated to his family and community just makes this more gut-wrenching. It's so hard to accept that people would feel lured into such a situation and that it cost someone their life. Justice for Cordell can't come soon enough, and I hope his family's voices continue to be heard throughout this process. Sending all my support to them.
I can't stop thinking about how Cordell was building his life around his family and community before all this happened. It's devastating to think about the potential that’s been lost. Cordell was well-regarded at Howard High School and many people spoke about how he always looked out for others. He was just trying to live his life, only to be drawn into something so awful. It's hard to wrap my head around how people can be so cruel. The fact that his life was cut short because of this senseless violence makes my heart go out to his family and friends. They've had a great person stolen from them, and it's so tragic that they have to endure this pain and grief. I hope they find some comfort in remembering his kindness and the positive impact he had on so many people.
