I've been following Shalena's case closely and something that's been on my mind is the sheer bravery it must have taken for Taylor McEwen to drive to the police station despite being seriously injured. Imagine the state of shock and pain he was likely in, yet he still had the presence of mind and courage to get himself and Shalena to a place of safety—even if it was unfortunately too late for her. It truly speaks volumes about his strength in that terrifying moment. It's moments like these that really drive home the nonsensical violence of this crime and the ripple effect it has had on so many lives. My thoughts are with Shalena's family and friends as they navigate through this unimaginable time.

I can't stop thinking about the bravery it took for Taylor McEwen to drive to the police precinct after being shot multiple times. It's incredible that in such a chaotic and terrifying moment, he managed to keep it together enough to get help. He must have cared deeply for Shalena to exert that kind of effort despite his own injuries. It's a testament to their friendship and his will to survive. I hope Taylor is getting the support he needs to heal physically and emotionally from this nightmare. The trauma of witnessing such a horrific event must be unimaginable. My heart goes out to him as well as Shalena's family. No one should have to endure what they’ve been through. Does anyone know how Taylor is doing now? It’s been almost a year since the shooting, and I wonder how his recovery is going.

I've been following the tragic case of Shalena Reginay McCall, and it genuinely speaks to the senselessness of violence. I came across a few interviews with her friends and family, and one thing that struck me was Shalena's passion for dancing. Her sister mentioned how dancing was her expressive outlet, something that brought her joy and radiance. It's so hard to imagine how quickly those joyous moments were taken away from her and those who loved her. Thinking about how her life was focused on light and creativity makes this act of violence even more unfathomable. The community really seems to have rallied to express just how profound her loss is. I sincerely hope in addition to justice being served, McEwen finds strength in his recovery and Shalena’s family finds a path towards healing amidst their grief.
