I’ve been following the case of Jandel Jamil Cruz, and one aspect that's really struck me is how the community has rallied around his family during such a devastating time. The GoFundMe page organized by his sister Jenny is such a testament to the level of support and love they're receiving, but it’s just heartwrenching to think about what his family must be going through. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain they feel not only from losing Jandel in such a violent way but also from not having any answers or sense of justice yet. The description of Jandel as someone who "lit up any room" really hits hard. It seems like he was just at the beginning of his life, with so much potential ahead of him. It’s chilling to think how these incidents can seem so random and yet be so targeted according to the police. I sincerely hope that more people will come forward with information to help solve this case. His family deserves to know who did this and why. If anyone from the York area knows anything, even if it seems insignificant, please report it. Every little detail could be crucial in bringing some peace to the Cruz family.
