Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Naim Jahace Bayete, and something that really struck me is the role technology played in helping piece together what happened that night. It’s incredible how surveillance footage and license plate readers can provide so much crucial information. I'm relieved that these tools were available to the Erie police so they could identify and locate the suspect, Torrance A. Norris, fairly quickly. I can't help but think about how difficult it must be for Naim’s family, knowing that someone was able to hurt him in such a calculated way. It makes me wonder if advances in surveillance might lead to quicker resolutions in other cases out there. I just hope Naim’s loved ones find some comfort in knowing that there’s undeniable evidence and that justice is on its way. To any members from Erie or familiar with this area, does this kind of violence happen often? I hope the community can rally together to support each other and Naim's family through this painful time. Much love to everyone impacted.
