I was thinking about the chaos and panic that must have erupted during that birthday party on Creighton Street when the shooting started. Imagine being there to celebrate someone's special day and suddenly finding yourself in a fight for survival. It's terrifying. My heart goes out to Kevin July's family, and to everyone else who was injured and traumatized.
I keep wondering how many of the attendees were able to help each other, or how many people froze in shock. Situations like this bring people together in the worst way possible, but I hope that those who were there can find some comfort and support with each other.
Also, 60 bullet casings from different guns? That’s a chilling reminder of the danger and level of premeditation involved. There had to have been multiple shooters, and yet no arrests have been made. It's frustrating to think about the lack of clear leads. I hope people will come forward soon with any information they have. We owe it to Kevin and all the injured to make sure justice is served. Kevin’s family and the entire Philadelphia community deserve better.
I just can't get over the sheer number of cartridge casings found at the scene of the shooting that took Kevin July's life. 60 casings from multiple weapons? That's terrifying and says a lot about the sheer chaos and fear that must have erupted that night. I can't even begin to imagine being at a birthday party and having something like this happen.
For the victims and their families, it must be incredibly frustrating to know that despite this overwhelming physical evidence, there still haven't been any arrests. It really makes you wonder about the level of planning or coordination by those responsible, as if they just vanished into thin air after such a brazen act.
My heart goes out to Kevin's family, and I hope the community rallies around Iris Miller's GoFundMe campaign. They deserve to have a meaningful memorial for Kevin, but more than anything, they need justice. If you know even the smallest detail, please do reach out to the authorities at 215-686-TIPS.
