Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about the first responders who ended up in the middle of such a chaotic and dangerous scene. It's incredible and terrifying to imagine what Officer Meehan and Officer Schiazza went through that night. To rush in, not knowing fully what they were facing, and then to be met with gunfire—not something anyone can truly prepare for. It’s a miracle they were rescued and are okay now. Their bravery and quick actions likely prevented an even greater tragedy. I can’t fathom the emotional toll on them and the rest of the team who worked that night. Remembering that these officers are also human, dealing with their own reactions to what they witnessed, it reminds us to appreciate the sacrifices first responders make every day. It’s heartening to know they’re out of the hospital, but I hope they’re getting all the support they need to cope with such trauma. Sending thoughts and strength to everyone dealing with the aftermath, especially the friends and family of the victims and the emergency personnel involved. This case really highlights how deeply such events impact entire communities.
