I’ve been thinking a lot about the surveillance footage from the Ring camera that captured the terrible moments before Derrick Gant’s death. It’s chilling to imagine the argument escalating in just seconds to something so tragic. My heart truly aches for his family and friends who have to relive it through that video. ?
It's beyond devastating to see someone who was trying to make a difference, especially with his music like "Nogunzone", being taken away by the very violence he spoke against. It’s a stark reminder of the senseless violence affecting our communities. I hope justice is served swiftly, and the police's request for information brings some answers soon. If anybody knows anything, please come forward. Let’s not let Phat Geez’s voice be silenced forever. Stay safe out there, everyone.
Did anyone else see Meek Mill's heartfelt post about Phat Geez? It's so tragic. You can really feel the pain in his words about losing another talented artist to such senseless violence. Phat Geez was using his platform to try and make a difference with his song "Nogunzone," and it feels doubly tragic that he became a victim of the very thing he was fighting against. It's just devastating for Gant's family and friends—to feel such a loss after he was trying to do so much good in the community. Really hoping that someone comes forward with information soon. Philly deserves justice and peace for Derrick.
Hey everyone,
I can't stop thinking about the heartbreaking story surrounding Derrick Gant's murder in Philadelphia. It really hit home when I heard about his song "Nogunzone" and how he truly wanted to make a difference in his community. It’s such a cruel irony that someone who was trying to promote peace through his music met his end in such a violent way.
What stands out to me is the impactful role he played in the lives of young people. His family mentioned how he was always encouraging kids to stay away from trouble. It seems like he really put his soul into creating a better future for them. This tragedy is not just a loss to his family and friends, but to the countless lives he might have continued to inspire.
It just feels so unfair, you know? To lose someone who was a beacon of hope for many. It makes you think about the senselessness of the violence that keeps plaguing communities. If anyone here has more details on any community vigils or events celebrating his legacy, I'd love to hear more about them.
Sending thoughts and strength to Derrick’s family and all who knew and loved him. May justice be served soon.
Stay safe, everyone.
