Hi all, I've been following the news about Rafael Tinoco-Villagomez's tragic death, and I can't stop thinking about how social media played such a significant role in this case. It's so distressing to see how a simple scavenger hunt post could lead to such a devastating outcome. I can't imagine what his family and friends are going through right now. It just goes to show how quickly things can take a turn for the worst when real-life consequences follow online interactions. This case has really got me wondering about the responsibilities we all have when using social platforms. I feel we should be talking more about how to ensure these events are safe or, better yet, discourage activities that might put people in harm's way. It’s easy to forget how something meant to be fun can become dangerous, especially for our youth. Sending strength and peace to Rafael's family and hoping this sparks the necessary conversations about online safety and responsibility.
