Has anyone else come across the detail about David L. Porter's VW Beetle being wiped clean of fingerprints after it was found near Mariners Ridge? I’ve read through a lot of cases, and it’s odd how his car was spotted on Kaumoku Street just days after he was last seen, but then to have it so suspiciously cleaned? This whole thing doesn’t sit right with me. Could it have been someone who knew him well enough to have access and knew what they were doing, or just random foul play? It’s such a tragic case, and I genuinely feel for his family and loved ones who have spent decades without answers. Every time I imagine what they’ve gone through, my heart aches for them. I just hope that someone, somewhere, remembers something that can finally bring David home or at least bring his family some peace. If you have any ideas, I'm all ears.
Hi everyone. I recently came across the case of David L. Porter and have been thinking a lot about the circumstances surrounding his disappearance. Something that really sticks out to me is the fact that his car was wiped clean of fingerprints when it was found near Kaumoku Street. It's just so unsettling to think about. Who would have had the motive, opportunity, or even the know-how to do something like that back in 1976? It's heartbreaking for his family and friends to have zero closure all these years later.
I wonder if there's a chance that someone knew David personally and maybe wanted to cover their tracks? Or could it have been a crime of opportunity that spiraled out of control? It's clear that whoever is responsible put a lot of thought into erasing their presence. I truly hope that advances in forensic technology might one day help us uncover more information or lead to someone coming forward. David deserves justice and his family deserves answers.
