I've been following the Gastonia case closely, and one thing that really stands out to me is how eerily quiet the neighborhood must have been on Chrisco Lane as the events unfolded. I can’t imagine the fear and tension that hung in the air while knowing someone you once trusted could commit such a violent act. It's chilling to think about Erica's last moments and how she tried to protect her family. She seemed like such a wonderful person, always putting others before herself, which makes this even harder to comprehend. I truly feel for her kids and everyone who loved her. I hope this case brings more attention to domestic violence issues and leads to the changes we desperately need. ?
