Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Howard Ward's murder, and something that's been sticking with me is the absence of visible suspects. It's truly unsettling that after over a month, no arrests have been made. Given that Mr. Ward's home was targeted previously in April, it seems like someone must have known, seen, or heard something leading up to the night of the shooting. It's hard to believe that in a place like Bertie County, where the community is so closely knit, there hasn't been more to go on. Sending thoughts to Mr. Ward's family and all those affected. It must be incredibly difficult not having answers. Is anyone else wondering if fear of retaliation might be preventing witnesses from coming forward? Or perhaps folks just don’t have enough faith in the system to protect them? I’m hoping someone will have the courage to speak up soon, for Mr. Ward’s memory and for justice to finally be served. If anyone has any new insights or theories, I’d love to hear them. This case deserves to be solved.
