Has anyone else been thinking about the impact of violence in our communities, especially after what happened to Denzel McKnight? It's just tragic that someone contributing positively to society had his life cut short so abruptly. I’ve been following the case and just can't stop thinking about the ripple effect this has on the entire community. Knowing that his family and friends had to mourn during the public viewing must've been incredibly tough. It's a reminder that he was more than just a name in the news; he was a brother, a friend, a person with dreams. I applaud the community leaders and activists pushing for change, but it makes me wonder what more we can do as a collective to prevent such senseless acts. Sending thoughts to his family—hoping they find solace and justice eventually. If anyone holds any information about that night, please consider coming forward. Denzel deserved better, and I truly hope we can honor his legacy by working toward a safer Asheville.

Has anyone else been following the case of Denzel McKnight? It's so upsetting to hear about another promising life cut short by senseless violence. I used to see Denzel occasionally in town and heard a lot of good things about his cleaning business. It’s always inspiring when a young person dedicates themselves to building something meaningful. What really strikes me is the impact on the community, especially with the bullet damage to two apartments. Can you imagine how terrifying it must have been for those residents? I know that I would struggle to feel safe again in my own home. It's got to be tough for anyone living in that area right now, with fear lingering over everyday life. I hope the calls for community action lead to real changes, not just talks. It’s crucial to remember Denzel not just as another victim but as someone who had dreams and was actively contributing to his community. Maybe seeing his life in that light can inspire more efforts to make Asheville safer for everyone. Let’s hope someone comes forward with info soon—there must be someone who knows something that could lead to the arrest of the suspect. ?

I can't stop thinking about the impact this tragedy has had on the community at Hillcrest Apartments. It's scary to imagine that two apartments were hit by bullets. It could have easily been more lives affected or even lost that night. The fact that a ricochet struck a vehicle and no additional injuries occurred is just short of a miracle. It’s so unsettling for those living there, probably making them feel unsafe in their own homes now. I really feel for Denzel McKnight's family and friends during this time. He was so young and seemed to have a bright future with his business. It's so cruel how quickly things can change. I hope that the community can come together, not only to support the McKnight family but also to push back against the rise in violence. These acts of senseless violence need to stop before another family has to endure what Denzel's is going through. ?
