I've been thinking a lot about Petlyn Job and her years of service with the NYPD. It's truly difficult to wrap my head around how someone who dedicated so much of her life to protecting others could end up in such a tragic situation. It's clear she was respected and had a significant impact on those around her, but it makes you wonder about the silent struggles she might have been facing. I can't imagine the pain her children must be going through right now losing their mom in such a way. Hoping they find comfort in the memories of her bravery and the love she'll always have for them. This is one of those times where all we can do is hold space for those who are grieving and show support in any way possible.
