I recently stumbled upon this case and can't stop thinking about Maria, Miguel Molina's sister. It's unimaginable what she went through witnessing her brother being shot right in front of her eyes. She's only 16 and has to deal with such trauma and loss. Living in the same housing complex where this all happened must make it even harder for her to find peace or any sense of normalcy. I hope she's getting the support she needs from family, friends, and maybe even professional counseling. Grief at such a young age, especially after witnessing something so traumatic, can have long-term effects. It’s just another tragic layer to this awful situation, and my heart goes out to her and the entire Molina family. Anyone know if there are any local resources in the Bronx for teens dealing with trauma or loss like this? Would be great if the community could rally around her and provide some support.
The news about Miguel Molina is absolutely devastating. My heart goes out to his family, especially knowing he was a father and a caring son. I can't even begin to imagine what Maria must feel, having witnessed something so traumatic. It's such a cruel twist, thinking you're heading into a fight with fists and ending up facing a gun. It's deeply troubling how these disputes can escalate to such extremes, and it really highlights the urgency to address ongoing violence in areas like Eastchester Gardens. Does anyone know if there are any community efforts in the Bronx to work towards preventing these kinds of tragedies? I'm really hoping there's a way to prevent another family from experiencing such a loss.
