Anyone else seeing the billboard on Central Avenue? It’s hard to drive past it and not feel a sense of urgency and sadness. DeAndre’s story has really stuck with me. I can’t imagine what his mother, Lynette, is going through, especially with Christmas and what would’ve been his 30th birthday coming up. It's so frustrating that there are no leads yet. I think she’s right about people knowing something but staying silent. The community can play a huge role in bringing justice—someone must know who did this. If you know anything, even the smallest detail, please consider reaching out to the authorities. DeAndre deserves justice, and his family deserves closure.
I came across an article about DeAndre Morrison's case today and couldn't help but feel deeply for his family, especially his mom, Lynette Medina. It’s been over a year since DeAndre's tragic passing, and I can't imagine the pain and frustration Lynette feels. What really struck me was her determination to keep DeAndre's memory alive and to seek justice for him. Putting up that billboard was a powerful move and shows just how important it is to her to get the word out and gather any information she can.
It’s so disheartening that no arrests have been made yet, especially with the police department still looking for leads. It must be so difficult to see time pass by without any significant developments, especially with DeAndre's 30th birthday approaching. I really hope that someone with vital information finds the courage to come forward. We, as a community, need to support families like Lynette’s and help bring them some peace.
If anyone reading this is local to Albany and knows something, even if it seems small, please consider reaching out to the authorities. DeAndre and his family deserve closure. Sending all my thoughts and empathy to Lynette and those who knew DeAndre during this tough time.
