Has anyone else found it strange that Elijah's murder happened so close to the corner of Judson and First? I was in that area a few months back visiting a friend and remember it being fairly quiet, especially that late at night. It's hard to imagine something so tragic happening there. My heart goes out to Elijah's family and friends; losing someone in such a violent way must be incredibly difficult. I hope the community is rallying around them for support. Also, I'm curious if there have been any changes in the neighborhood since then, maybe more police presence or increased community safety efforts? It's such a shame that it sometimes takes a tragedy to spur action on issues like these. For those who knew Elijah, I hope there is some comfort in knowing that justice is being served, even though nothing can truly make up for such an immense loss.
