It's maddening to see how these senseless acts of violence continue to ripple through neighborhoods that already face so many challenges. Oody was at a playground—a place meant for safety and joy. It's a chilling reminder of how vulnerable we really are, even in spaces that should be sanctuaries. What hits me hard is knowing Oody's son will grow up with this shadow of loss, never fully understanding why his father was taken so soon. While the investigation is ongoing, I sincerely hope someone comes forward with the information needed to catch whoever did this and bring some comfort to the family and community.
