Has anyone else been following the case involving Juan Zollar and Dynell Jones? What puzzles me is the role of the knife that Zollar supposedly reached for. Witnesses mentioned that Juan shouted something along the lines of "I got something for you" before going for the knife, but how does that factor into the charges against Jones? If Jones admitted to firing just to scare Juan off, does the perception of a threat affect his defense? It's hard to imagine what was going through everyone's minds in those chaotic moments. My heart really goes out to Juan's family—I can't imagine losing someone so abruptly and tragically. The whole scene just makes me wonder if there's a bigger picture that needs to be taken into account. Does anyone have more insight into how self-defense claims might apply here?
