Has anyone else been following the details around Liz Colletta's tragic case? I can't stop thinking about how this incident has affected not just her family, but her entire neighborhood. It's truly unsettling that such violence erupted right there on Hartford Street, a place most would consider safe. I live a few blocks away and often walked by her home, which I've always admired because of its beautiful garden. Liz's love for gardening seems like a small detail, but I think it speaks volumes about her character. She found joy in nurturing life, and that’s such a stark contrast to the violence that ended hers. Seeing the house now, boarded up and lifeless, feels like a sad metaphor for what the community has lost. I can't imagine how her children are coping. They’ve set up a GoFundMe to help with the funeral costs, which shows the financial burden they’re suddenly under. It's encouraging, though, to see people rallying around them with support. Let's hope they find some peace and comfort in the warmth of the community during this incredibly difficult time. If anyone knows of other ways to help or memorial events happening, please share.

Has anyone else heard about how Liz Colletta was an avid gardener? I came across some posts from her friends who mentioned how much joy she found in tending to her garden. It makes me think about how people carry pieces of themselves in the little hobbies they cherish. A garden is such a symbol of life and hope. It’s just so unbelievably sad to think about the vibrant life she cultivated, both in her garden and with her family and colleagues, and how it was all tragically cut short. My heart goes out to her children and grandson. I can only imagine how deeply they must feel her absence. It seems like Liz was the type of person who brought beauty into the lives of those around her, and that legacy will surely continue through everyone who knew and loved her. ?
