I've been following the case of Shamra Whitney, and my heart goes out to her family and friends during this tragic time. It's so eerie to think that something like this could happen at a place where so many people pass by daily. I'm curious if anyone has more details about the area where this occurred. I know there are a few businesses and lots of foot traffic around 11th and Washington. Could this have been a random, spur-of-the-moment incident, or was there more to it that involved the suspect? The fact that Crossroads Academy had to go on lockdown must have been terrifying for the students and staff. I can't even imagine what the parents must have felt hearing that their kids were in lockdown because of a shooting nearby. I hope the kids are okay and getting the support and reassurance they need. If anyone in the area knows more about the situation or what might have led up to it, please share any insights here. We all want to see justice served.
