Was anyone else struck by the conversation between Pineda and Doka about "spiritual healing"? It's such a tragic paradox to be discussing recovery and then for this horrific event to unfold. Substance abuse can cloud judgment so badly, but that doesn't make it any less devastating for those left to deal with the aftermath. I can't imagine the pain Ryan Doka’s family must be going through right now. It’s also harrowing to think that several of Pineda’s own relatives witnessed this and were put in such immediate danger. My heart goes out to all involved. It's a reminder of how crucial it is for those struggling with addiction and their loved ones to seek support and intervention before situations escalate to violence. Are there any local resources that might be stepping in to help these families cope?
Has anyone else been thinking about the role of drugs in the tragic events of New Year’s Day involving Ryan Doka and Alex Pineda?
