I've been following the discussions surrounding the tragic event in Linden, and something that really stood out to me was the immediate response of the local schools, especially McManus Middle School. It's just so deeply sad to think about what Natalie and Sebastian’s classmates must be going through. Losing two friends in such a horrific manner has to be incredibly confusing and painful for young minds. I heard that the school has been proactive with providing grief counseling and ensuring kids have someone to talk to during this turbulent time. Kudos to them for stepping up and trying to shield the children from some of the trauma and emotional turmoil. It's a harsh reminder of how far-reaching the impacts of such tragedies are. Has anyone here been involved in a school community dealing with loss? How did the kids and parents cope? My heart truly goes out to everyone involved, including the school staff who are navigating their own grief while supporting the students.
