I can’t stop thinking about the safety education aspect in situations like this. It’s truly devastating to think about how a moment of carelessness and lack of knowledge could lead to such a tragic outcome. It's vital that we emphasize the importance of firearm safety to teenagers. I'm not placing blame here; it’s clear Nasir didn’t intend for this to happen, but that doesn’t change the fact that Cayden lost his life. It confounds me that they were handling a gun without fully understanding how to ensure it was safely unloaded. Were they even aware of the risks involved? Is there anything we as a community can do to prevent such incidents from happening in the future? Sending thoughts of peace and healing to Cayden's family during this unimaginably difficult time.
