I can't get over how brave Zahmire's mother was during such a terrifying situation. It's unimaginable to think she had to jump from a second-floor window to escape and try to save her child. Her actions highlight the sheer instinct and courage that often get overlooked in these tragedies. As a community, we need to come together to support her and other affected families. I hope the investigation sheds more light on this incident so we can try to prevent similar tragedies from happening in the future. Zahmire will be dearly missed, and his memory should inspire us to push for greater safety in our neighborhoods.
