I can't stop thinking about the welfare check that led to this tragic discovery. It’s chilling how someone could lose their life in a place that should feel the safest. With Zofia and Peter Koc, it feels particularly senseless because there were no signs of forced entry, and authorities aren’t looking for suspects. It almost makes me wonder what unseen threads might connect these incidents to one another, if at all. The passing of another elderly woman in a home invasion earlier this year also weighs heavily on the mind. Even though officials say there's no connection, it’s hard not to see the pattern of vulnerability. It must be incredibly hard for the community to grapple with this. My heart goes out to the families affected. If anyone has even the smallest piece of information, it could help immensely. Keeping Zofia and Peter's family in my thoughts.
