Hey all, I’ve been following the discussion around Maurice McCargo's case, and I can't shake this feeling of anxiety for his family and friends. It's deeply distressing to think that someone can just vanish from our lives so violently and suddenly. I grew up around South Congress Road, and it breaks my heart to see the area talked about this way. It's a community with so many good people trying to make a difference, yet this kind of violence keeps casting a shadow over it. I keep circling back to the ShotSpotter technology used to identify the gunfire. It's incredible what technology can do now, but it also highlights how necessary it is just to try and keep track of all the incidents. Has anyone else here experienced how this tech works in their neighborhood? While it's great for rapid response, I wonder if it's enough to deter these acts in the first place. Sending all my thoughts to Maurice's family. Let’s hope the community stays strong and proactive in finding justice for him.
