I think sometimes these killers confess to killings because they want the attention. It can be pretty lonely in prison. This monster was created and cultivated from childhood. People should have go to classes and have a license to have a kid. Most important job a person can do in life is to raise a functioning member of society. So many fail.

You are correct about sometimes people confess to crimes they didn't commit, for the notority that comes with high profile cases. There have been instances where police and FBI have had to sift through hundreds of false claims of commiting a murder. Sometimes it's people who are mentally ill, other times it's people who just want to stir the pot so to speak. It does make it much harder for agencies to get to the actual truth. This is why not every detail from an unsolved crime is released to the public. It helps with weeding out the folks who as described above, have nothing to do with the actual crime.

As far as people needing a license to breed lol. I somewhat agree, I agree parenting classes while pregnant ( especially for first kid) would be much more helpful. And a better overall support system. But this leads into the nurture over nature argument and that's a whole different discussion.
