Johnny was just 17. His whole life ahead of him. Now it has affected more people because the person that killed him was also a minor. This will touch and affect so many peoples lives. So senseless.

As someone whose own life was shaped significantly by my high school years, I can’t help but think about how this tragedy must be affecting John's classmates and teachers. The fact that the Bayonne Board of Education has stepped up by making counselors available speaks volumes about how deeply this loss is felt. The role of a school in times like these can't be understated – it's more than just providing education; it's about nurturing and protecting. My thoughts are with all the students at Bayonne High, as navigating a loss like this at such a formative age is profoundly difficult. I hope that this terrible event might trigger more awareness and action around supporting young people through these hard times. ?
