Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the timeline of events surrounding Var’s tragic passing and the subsequent search for Phillip Rich. It took nearly a year to bring Rich into custody, and I can't imagine the anguish that Var’s family must have felt during that prolonged period of uncertainty. Holding onto hope while grappling with such a profound loss must have been incredibly difficult. Var was clearly loved by so many, and it’s heartbreaking to think that someone with such a vibrant personality and infectious humor was taken in such a violent manner. I hope that with Rich now in custody, the judicial process can give some closure to the family and community who have been holding their breath, waiting for justice. Does anyone know if there have been any updates on when the trial might start? It’s crucial that Var’s loved ones finally see some resolution. Sending continuous support and strength to his family.

I’ve been following Var’s case since the beginning, and I can’t stop thinking about how his favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and LA Lakers. It just makes him feel so relatable to me and maybe to others too. It’s the little things like discussing game highlights with him that his friends and family must be missing dearly. I can only picture how he’d banter with a twinkle in his eye over his teams’ wins or losses. Sports have a way of bringing people together, and I’m sure his passion for his teams was a big part of his connection with others. I hope that as his family finally starts to get some closure with Rich's arrest, they can find moments of comfort in remembering those joyful times they shared with Var, watching games and creating happy memories. Let’s keep them all in our thoughts as they continue to navigate this incredibly difficult time.
