Hey everyone, it's just so shocking and sad to hear about the events that unfolded outside the 7-Eleven on Aberdeen Road. There's been a lot of focus on the suspect photos, but today I wanted to talk about something that's been weighing heavily on my mind: the safety of our community spaces. It makes me really uneasy to think that such a horrific incident could happen in a place so many of us visit regularly just to grab a coffee or fill up our gas tanks. A parking lot is supposed to be a mundane, safe area—not a crime scene. My heart goes out to the families of Jonathan and Keshawn. I can only imagine the pain they're going through right now. Hopefully, we can find some answers soon and maybe work towards making our public spaces feel safe again. How do you all feel about this? Do you think there's anything we, as a community, can do to help prevent such tragedies in the future?
I was reading about the tragic deaths of Jonathan Johnson Jr. and Keshawn Hawkins in Hampton and felt compelled to share my thoughts. It's so disconcerting to hear about another act of violence in a place as everyday as a 7-Eleven parking lot. That could've been any of us stopping for a quick drink or snack, and it's a chilling reminder of how quickly life can be cut short. My heart goes out to the families and friends of Jonathan and Keshawn. I can't even begin to imagine the pain and loss they're experiencing right now. ?
I'm wondering if anyone here has seen the suspect photos released by the police? Recognizing someone could truly make a difference. It's frustrating that there's been no arrest yet, but it's good to know that the police are making progress. Hopefully, we'll see justice served soon. Let's keep each other updated and continue to support the victims' families during this tough time.
Has anyone heard more details about what led up to the incident that took Jonathan and Keshawn from their families? The thought of two young men with so much life ahead of them being taken away so suddenly is just devastating. I've read that they were found in the 7-Eleven parking lot, and I can't help but wonder if there were any witnesses or if the area was usually busy at that time of night. Maybe someone saw or heard something that could help identify the suspects. It's unsettling to think that the community could be at risk too. If anyone has updates or knows how the families are doing, please share. It's important that we remember their lives and support those who loved them as we hope for justice.
