I can't stop thinking about the location of this tragedy. The fact that it happened around the 2100 block of Newbourne Street just makes me wonder about the safety in that neighborhood. Was this a random act, or did JeMario know his assailant? It’s terrifying to think that a morning could start like any other, only for something so tragic to occur. My thoughts are with JeMario's family and friends who must be struggling with the absence of answers. We truly need more community involvement to help solve this case. If anyone has seen or heard anything — even if it seems insignificant — please consider reaching out to Detective Crewell. Sometimes the smallest piece of information can be the missing puzzle piece.
I’ve been following JeMario Robinson’s case closely since he was senselessly killed this past July. Can't help but think about the impact he must have had on his family and friends. I recently read an article pointing out the alarming rise of gun violence in Richmond, and it's so frustrating. It's devastating how these crimes leave a trail of grieving families behind. I'm holding space for JeMario's loved ones—knowing that their loss is part of a bigger issue doesn’t make their pain any easier. With no suspects or arrests yet, the whole community is just left waiting, hoping for answers that could give some kind of closure. I hope Detective Crewell and the Richmond PD are able to make headway soon. If you know anything, please consider reaching out to the authorities. JeMario deserves justice.
