I've been following the Derrit Banks case since it first hit the news, and it's incredibly distressing to think about how Mi’King Fountain, at just 10 years old, had to witness such a traumatic event. I can't imagine how this young boy must feel, being so close to his grandfather at the time and then having to recount it all in court. How do we support kids like Mi’King, who are thrust into these horrific situations? It just breaks my heart to think that he might be struggling with this for the rest of his life. Does anyone know if there are any organizations that provide support or counseling for young witnesses like him?
